Late April/May 2009

By PW Staff on Apr 23, 2009 | In Featured Paper Cuts Members | Send feedback »

It’s my pleasure to introduce our next featured paper Cuts member, KellyRae Cooper!

Congrats KellyRae!

KellyRae

Here’s a bit about KellyRae;

Hi, I’m KellyRae Cooper and I’ve been stamping since September 2001. I was never considered crafty or artsy and so imagine my thrill of being able to create a piece of art…using paper and rubber. Woo hoo!!! I signed up to be a TAC angel in July 2006 and have loved every minute of it. I especially enjoy the connections forged via blogs, yahoo groups, and Paper Wings. It’s like having thousands of stamping buddies at my kitchen table with me. Don’t know how to use a product in the catalogue? Post a “help me” message, someone (actually some dozen someones) will respond. Can’t quite figure out how to use a stamp that you just “had” to have (or your customer wants but also wants some ideas first)? Go to the gallery and search the fabulous creations posted for the perfect idea. I sometimes will be stamping or maybe just thinking about a design at 2 or 3 in the morning. Paper Wings allows 24/7 access to angel art (and thoughts). Love it!

I share my stamping space (my entire house) with my DH John, a furry black beast (aka Samson, our 135-lb black labrador), and weekend sleepovers with grandbabies (we currently have 8 grandkids). It’s amazing that not one grandbaby disturbs the bookcases in my kitchen and living room that are filled with my stamps, punches, prisma and chalk pencils, my class attendees’ jars of tools, eyelets, brads, flowers, oh my, I AM living dangerously.

Long time no see! We are so happy to be updating this section again and are delighted to introduce you to this months featured Paper Cuts Member, Chris Franco! Congrats Chris!

CF2

Here’s a little bit about her;

It’s a lot of fun as I look back over my “stamping” career…I had just bought a workshop worth of stamps from Stampin Up and toyed with the idea of becoming a demonstrator but I knew that I would not be able to support the “habit” just by myself and my husband would never support it as a business venture. Then I happened upon an old Carol Duvall rerun that featured a stamp from The Angel Company and I was on a mission to find out more about the company…a week later, I had signed up to be a demo. A year later, I mentioned it to my husband!

What I loved about The Angel Company is that no matter where we moved to, I could continue my business. We have a boy and a girl who are now in their tween years and I am happy that I have been able to stay home with them. Now that George has retired from the military (He’s been home the past 3 months and it has really cramped my stamping time – believe me!!) I’ve had to change again the way I run my “business”.

I’m extremely thankful to have found Paper Wings and was excited to sign up as a Paper Cuts member. As much as I love to stamp, I find by nature that I am a copy cat…and I love coming here for new and super ideas. It’s wonderful to be a part of so many “angels”…who truly are angels!! I find lots of inspiration too from the other paper crafts that I see here, and all of the talented ideas that pour forth. How wonderful to search the gallery by stamp set when you are short on time or ideas.

A big thanks to everyone here!

See more of her beautiful creations in her Paper Wings Gallery!

September 2008

The September 2008 Featured Paper Cuts member is Jany - congratulations! Jany used TAC products to create a card set consisting of 4X4 cards, envelopes and a matching mini purse.

Paper Wings

Here’s what Jany has to say:

I live in Puerto Rico where ten years ago, scrapbooking was not that known. I was introduced to CM and shortly after I lost contact with my demonstrator. I started then with scrapbooking and at every chance I had, I’ll buy materials and work with my pictures. After finishing college I started with my pages more seriously but work and real life as well as reading and writing took my craft time away. A year ago, I joined a group in facebook where Diana, my upline, was promoting TAC and I decided to go to the cardmaking day. There I learned of stamping. (Yes, I do have a few stamps I bought but never actually used because I didn’t know how). I fell in love with TAC inmediately and after making a huge wish list Diana talked to me about the oportunity of doing this as a hobby and having the business side (that might help with a few extra bucks for more stamps) and I jumped right in.

Since then, I’ve been experimenting with my materials, reading. Liking and NOT liking what I do. I’ve been polishing my style and even changing it a little bit. I hated red and now it is part of my favorite colors. I joined a design team for cardmakers and started paper crafting too. I’m finally selling some of the cards I do and enjoying it. And I’m saving in gifts too, since I’m able to do them!

Congratulations to Kim - the August 2008 Featured Paper Cuts Member! Here is just one of the projects that she submitted for July’s Winger Challenge:

Paper Wings

Here is a little bit about Kim:

Hi Everyone!

I started with TAC back in October 2005 and it has been an enriching and fulfilling journey! I have made some wonderful friendships thru TAC and love being part of a company that cares about their Demo’s and Customers.

Let me tell you, if you would have told me 5 yrs ago that I would be doing monthly Funshops, teaching and sharing with others my passion for stamping and paper crafting, I wouldn’t have believed you! LOL!!!

Nothing is more gratifying then to have someone tell you, “No, I could never make something like that", only to see the light in their eyes shine when they share what they have created!

I am married to my best friend of 33 yrs, have a grown Daughter and Son and 6 Grandchildren that I love to spend time with. I live in the NW and love it. We have so much beauty here to inspire us…. the mountains, the desert and our beautiful Oregon coast.

I love to read, sew, stamp, scrap and am most happy when I’m creating.

Being a part of this great community of angels on PW has really opened me up to share my love of crafting with others.
