Our featured Winger for the month of August is Mary!
Here is a little bit about Mary!
I have been crafting pretty much all my life. Always trying to make something out of anything else. I started stamping about 10 years ago but kind of got out of it and into scrapbooking, then back into stamping a couple of years ago. My goal is to incorporate my stamping more into the scrapbooking and looking at this new catalog I don’t think it will be too difficult!!! I became an Angel in May of last year and thanks to PW I feel like I really can make this into something successful besides just a hobby!!

Featured July Winger Pam!

This weeks featured Winger is Pam! Pam has been a member of the Wingers Design team since it was born! Each month her amazing projects add a creative spark for all of us!
This is just one of her many projects that you can see as a member of Paper Cuts!

Here is what Pam has to say about herself!
“I’ve been crafting in one way or another since I was a child. My parents fueled my artistic passion by giving me all sorts of crafting kits for Christmas and birthdays. Although I still have several crafty interests, my main infatuation is with paper crafting, and stamping in particular. I’ve been stamping for many years now and there is always more to learn!
I live in Harvest, Alabama with my husband of 8 years, Kim. We lived in Oregon before that where we had our own business raising alpacas. Kim has his own crafty hobby - all things fiber (particularly alpaca). Since he has his obsession, he fully supports me in mine! We enjoy browsing craft stores together and don’t hesitate to enable each other with potential purchases.
I joined TAC in August of 2007, and I continually work at stretching my artistic boundaries and learning more. I love learning new techniques and then teaching them to my customers. It’s so much fun to enable others to get excited about stamping!”
If you want to get to know Pam a little better and be inspired by her creations, come on by and check her out at Paper Wings!
Featured June Winger - Joani

This month’s featured Winger is Joani! Joani joined Paper Wings and wasted no time jumping into all of it! She is an amazing Angel always full helpful advice and encouragement to other Angels. Her talent and enthusiasm was recognized by other members of the design team and she was invited to join them, June is her first month as a Winger!

All about Joani!
“Hi there I’m Joani and although I am new to TAC I am not new to stamping. I’ve been a paper crafter for most of my life. It all started back in school when I’d write notes to friends I had to come up with different way’s to fold the paper. And don’t forget the art classes in high school.
Then a fellow co-worker came to work one day about 12 years ago bringing Easter goodies with cute little stamped bunnies and that did it for me, I was hooked! Lots (and lots) of dollars later I find myself here among many other talented people and I’m having the best time of my life.
I am a SAHM of a wonderful teenage girl. Just 3 short years ago I married my soul mate and picked up and moved across country. It was the best decision I’ve ever made!”
So make sure to stop by and say hi to Joani and check out her creations in the gallery!
This is just one of the amazing projects that she has made for the Wingers and Paper Cuts!

Featured May Winger - Angela
By Paper Wings Staff on May 17, 2008 | In Featured Wingers | Send feedback »
This month’s featured Winger is Angela Kelley! Angela was recently asked and accepted to become the Winger Design Team leader! Angela is full of enthusiasm and ideas and we see an amazing future for the Winger Team!
I live in N. California with my wonderful husband of 10 years, and our two amazing children. I’ve had a love of art and crafting for as long as I can remember. Growing up my mom tried everything from oil painting, embroidery, sculpture, to beading and jewelry. She included me in everything. It was a real gift that always encouraged me to use my imagination and creativity.
A high school job at a local florist, led to a 17 year career in floral design which include 3 years designing in Europe. Back in the USA, working in a shop that specialized in wedding and custom work was so rewarding to see the look on a customers face when you had created their “dream”. After having our first child and becoming a stay at home mom, I needed a creative outlet. I started crafting again, and doing craft shows with a girlfriend, we had so much fun. With our second child came a move to a new area and no more craft shows. But I just couldn’t stop creating. I have tried quilting, embroidery, beading, and I make a lot of jewelry.
I have always had a love of all things paper. I have collected it, not knowing what to do with it, but I had to have it. Then I discovered scrap booking, a reason for the beautiful paper and a creative outlet!!!! Along with scrap booking was an introduction to stamps. Down the slippery slope of obsession I went. Then I found The Angel Company and loved the idea of unmounted stamps and became an Angel. There were not a lot of Angels in California, and none that I could find in my area. Not knowing much about the company was tough, but my upline half way across the country was very helpful. In early 2007 I was asked to teach some classes at a local scrap book store, as only a hobbyist it scared me to death. After a few months I started getting more and more questions about the stamps, and people signing up for Fun Shops one thing lead to another and now I have a couple of monthly groups.
In June ‘07 I found Paper Wings and I love it here!! This is a wonderful group of creative, talented artists, sharing ideas and business tips, answering questions and having fun together. When I saw the “Call for Talent”, I thought maybe I could contribute to this wonderful site. Similar to teaching classes it scared me a bit but I had to try. I sent my submission in at the last minute (literally), and was chosen. I am proud and exited to be a part of this talented and creative group. I still sweat a little each month hoping that my creations will be up to par and that my nonexistent computer skills don’t prevent me from getting them uploaded.
Here is just one of the wonderful projects that Angela created for this months Winger gallery!
Featured April Winger - Barb

This month’s featured Winger is Barb! Now Barb gave me two projects to chose from to share with you and I loved them both so much that I had a hard time picking! Since I was feeling more Springy then I have recently, I went with the one that made me feel all warm and Spring like! Scroll down to read more about Barb and to see her Gate Fold card!
As a child I was always around some form of art of one kind or another. I can remember growing up playing in mama’s sewing room as well as her art studio. The entire basement always seemed to have a lingering smell of turpentine and oil paint and she always had a ton of different fabrics in her sewing room to play dress-up. My dad did a lot of tinkering and small woodworking projects, and my older sisters were very accomplished at both painting and pencil drawing. I remember drawing my “dream houses” in grade school and wanted to be an architect since the 6th grade.
I graduated from Kansas State University in 1994 with a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree. I worked for a small residential design firm, a large entertainment design firm, and finally settled into a small eclectic firm in Mission, Kansas. I enjoy my “day job", but I honestly would rather just stay in my studio and paper-craft all day, every day!
I am married to Eric (a.k.a. Pooter or Poot) and we have two spoiled canine babies: Heidi & Thor; a yellow Lab and a red Shepard-Lab mix. My avatar is a photo of them… the cutest babies ever!
I got started in paper-crafting by being appointed as the keeper of the scrapbook in my husband’s Shriner’s unit. I saw all of the wonderful paper, little doo-dads and accoutrements in the stores and I was hooked. I started out creating little artsy quote books for my friends and family and was commissioned to make a few for a couple of clients.
I’m an equal-opportunity stamper. I buy from the local craft stores, conventions and online. I was a customer in a hostess club from another company when I happened upon TheAngelCompany at a stamp convention. I knew that TAC was for me, and signed up in December 2005. I am pretty much a hobbiest demonstrator; however I do have a monthly hostess club and class nights. I’m going to try to start growing my business slowly, but I really just want to teach classes and enjoy creating.
